Chronic Lyme Disease Treatment
Many people have contacted us about Lyme Disease because it seems to be an epidemic in the USA, Australia, the UK ... around the world.
One lady - let's call her Emily, from Western Australia - who isn't a customer contacted us for advice and said this,
"Finally, I'm starting to make some progress and manage to get out of bed for small periods of the day doing a few small tasks within the home. It's baby steps and I can only hope and pray that I'm heading for a remission period very soon."
This is what prompted me to find out more and first write about treatment for chronic Lyme Disease, back in 2017. This post is a summary of that information:
We already know that our Health Evolution P.L.A.N. Pure Live Active Nutrition supplements act on managing out-of-control cortisol, the stress hormone which destroys immunity.
The World Health Organisation says stress is the health epidemic of the 21st Century.
This is because as humans we are much more susceptible to diseases, viruses, bad bacteria, and mental health problems when we are stressed.
Stress hormones shut down the immune system making us vulnerable to viruses, disease, infection, and poor mental health.
There are three ways our bodies can be stressed:
Physical: trauma, injury, accident or fall
Chemical & biological: viruses, flu, infection, hangovers, unbalanced blood sugar levels, toxic loads from processed food, environmental chemicals
Emotional: fear, work or business pressure, financial problems, family tragedies, inherited trauma, exposure to negative news and constant advertising.
When chronically stressed, our body and brain is on constant high alert, in fight or flight mode, and therefore other "housekeeping" tasks are shut down. Including complex tasks such as proper digestion, healing, immunity, relaxation, and restorative sleep.
Lyme disease, also known as Lyme borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by a bacterial spirochete called Borrelia burgdorferi which is spread by ticks and biting insects. The most common sign of infection is an expanding area of redness on the skin, known as erythema migrans, that appears at the site of the tick bite about a week after it occurred.
Lyme Disease is often accompanied by other co-infections which can be equally as problematic. Researchers have specifically found that autoimmune conditions affecting the joints tend to occur in patients after developing Lyme disease.
Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses are big, often overlooked factors in many cases of autoimmune disease.
To further complicate things, its nickname is “the great imitator” because the symptoms it causes can be so vague. It’s often misdiagnosed or missed in patients with autoimmunity because the symptoms overlap.
WHO KNOWS ABOUT LYME DISEASE TREATMENT?
I've spoken to many people with opinions on Lyme's over the last 6 years. Emily's desperation touched me deeply and spurred me to act.
"Lyme is carried by 80% now of all biting insects in the world - certainly not just ticks! Mosquitos, horse flies, fleas and most chronic illnesses have Lyme behind them."
This same specialist goes on to say,
"I have just been with two of the top experts in the world on Lyme and Antibiotics are not the answer. They can help in some instances, but people are not aware that the spyrochetes can encyst for ten years or more. So if you give antibiotics they just encyst and come out again at a later date.
It is important to take Health Evolution supplements, to rebalance and rebuild. We recommend the Ultimate Health System - or look into which formulas are right for you here .healthevolutionproject.com/pages/which-formulas.
If you have Lyme Disease, you also need extra help. There are two directions in which you can move forwards:
The conventional route:
1. Arrange with your Doctor to take a minimum 2 week, maximum 4 week course of antibiotics - and not miss a single day.
2. On the same day you start the antibiotics, commit to starting 2,000mg of Beta Glucan 400 capsules and not miss a single day.
According to Dr Chris Hertzog, anti-aging specialist renowned for his work on Beta glucan and a member of our independent Supplement Advisory Panel
The problem with the conventional route is that it only appears effective if the majority of the spirochetes have first been killed. Otherwise, they protect themselves by forming a biofilm (a bit like sealing themselves into a plastic bag), wait for the antibiotics to wear off then come back again with a vengeance.
The alternative route:
Contact a Lyme specialist, for example, Lilias Ahmeira at www.liliasahmeira.com
Lilias Ahmeira offers consultation by Skype and she works with people all over the world. The charge is £75.00 per hour and the first Skype session lasts for 2 hours including all the testing and coming up with a sensible solution to go forwards, having looked at everything that is going on.
Lilias Ahmeira has international practices based in the UK with clients referred to her by respected Harley Street specialists, Physios and Doctors. Lyme can be very complex and it is something she has a deep knowledge of, having worked with Dr Klinghardt for many years.
Whichever you choose, also address these extra priorities:
3. Get your home checked for mould (mold), if you haven't already, and get rid of any that's around. Lemon Myrtle can be useful for this - here's an example of what you might want to use: frogshop.com.au/mould-spray-our-eco-home-500ml, or look for lemon myrtle cleaner on Amazon.
4. Drink a lot of water and eat very healthily food, mainly unprocessed and plant based, vegetables more than fruits, including nuts and seeds
5. Take premium supplements
Of course, you're going to take your Health Evolution formulas. These are the foundational supplements:
If your cortisol is out-of-control and your cells are not rebuilding, taking other supplements or making other lifestyle changes is like driving with one foot on the accelerator and one on the brake.
That is why you take Health Evolution formulas every day.
If you have Lyme Disease, it is recommended to also take Beta Glucan.
More about Beta Glucan:
Contact Dr Chris Hertzog for the best beta glucan. Dr Hertzog says,
"As far as Beta Glucan (BG), is concerned, I am a great believer with anything new in the supplement field, to take an impact dose to begin with then level off.
I travel a lot and attend a large number of meetings, therefore really need as high an immune level as I can get. I am taking 1,200 mg per day at the moment raised to 2,000 mg when I am on an aircraft, 97% of which recirculate their onboard air, germs and all. After 3 weeks at 1,200 mg impact dose, I would reduce to 800 mg for best possible effect."
Dr Hertzog recommends "BETA-1.3/1.6-D GLUCAN 400" made by Beta International Co Ltd in the UK. One bottle lasts 1-2 months at the recommended dose. Taking 2,000 mg per day, 1 bottle will last 12 days. It is a natural product consisting of brewers yeast as well as specific mushrooms, oats, wheat and barley.
If you choose to also take premium vitamin and mineral supplements, make sure the ingredients in your vitamin/mineral supplement are correct. For example, check these particular vitamins and minerals for quality:
- B6 - don't use Pyridoxine HCL - instead use P-5-P
- Folate - don't use Folic Acid - instead use 5-MTHF
- B12 - don't use Cyanocobalamin - instead use Methylcobalamin
- K - don't use Phylloquinone - instead use K2
- Magnesium - don't use Magnesium Oxide - instead use Magnesium Bis-Glycine Chelate
- Zinc - don't use Zinc Sulfate - instead use Zinc Bis-Glycine Chelate
The ones you don't want to use (eg Pyridoxine HCL for B6) are cheap and are not properly absorbed by the body. The ones you do want to use (eg P-5-P version of B6) are activated vitamins/chelated minerals which means they can be properly absorbed by your body.
We recommend taking AminoSerene as well as one of the full clinical dose strength YTE® formulas - TeloMind or AminoBoosters or AminoB12 - because AminoSerene contains the entire vitamin B complex with each B vitamin at recommended clinical dose: healthevolutionproject.com/collections.
6. Avoid heavily processed foods, gluten, and dairy
7. Move as much as you can, especially stretching
8. Take a far infrared sauna as frequently as possible, at least twice a week, for at least 30 minutes up to 60 minutes. Ideally, take niacin (eg as in AminoSerene) 2-3 hours prior and engage in 30 minutes exercise before your sauna.
There's more you can do, including of course consulting with your health professional, but the above are mission-critical.
Wishing you well.
